The College of Engineering was founded in 2005 with the establishment of Tafila Technical University (TTU). It has witnessed a noticeable expansion in terms of new engineering programs, number of students and faculty members.
The College of Engineering offers the Master Degree in Electrical Power Engineering, and Applied Mechanical Engineering, in addition to the following bachelor degree programs:

- Mechanical Engineering / Automobile.
- Mechanical Engineering / Air-conditioning and Cooling.
- Electrical Power Engineering.
- Mechatronics Engineering.
- Communication and Electronics Engineering.
- Computer Engineering.
- Intelligent Systems Engineering.

- Geological Engineering.
- Chemical Industrial Engineering.
- Civil Engineering.
- Renewable Energy (under accreditation).
The college is committed to the excellence in education to graduate engineers with outstanding analytical skills. Our graduates had assumed leading roles in the industry in Jordan and abroad. The faculty members from diverse academic and industrial backgrounds are committed to offer quality education to the students in a dynamic learning environment. The faculty members always strive to link the real world with classroom instructions to provide students with better achievements. Currently the faculty members are more than 110 both of Ph.D. and M.Sc. degree holders. The faculty members are engaged in a variety of engineering research projects that are well published in regional and international engineering journals. They have assumed leading roles in local, regional and international conferences.
The college of engineering is the home for more than 3000 undergraduate students. In the meantime, TTU has granted scholarships to PhD candidates in all fields of engineering to prestigious engineering institutions in the United States of America and Europe.
