Tafila Technical University ranked 6th among Jordanian public and private universities according to the US News & World Report 2017, a global assessment of 11 criteria for achievement in scientific research and academic reputation.
Eng. Ahmed Al-Sawalqa, Director of the University's Computer Center, responsible for ensuring the quality of evaluation requirements on all the global assessment sites, said that the work of the Center's team is continuously undergo to provide all the necessary requirements and study them through a statistical study to set the university in its proper place locally, regionally and internationally.
This arrangement is largely consistent with the Australian Classification 4 (ICU), which placed Tafila Technical University in 5th place among Jordanian Universities and (116) among Arab universities out of (871). These results compared to the university's age, which was established in 2005, is an achievement that was not achieved by any university in the same period of time that TTU achieved.
