The President of Tafila Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khair Al-Hourani, stressed the importance of the university participation in international projects, especially the European projects aimed at building the capacity of the university employees' as well as the students' and staff exchange with prestigious European universities.
This came during a meeting with Erasmus Plus National Director Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Hijaa and Dr. Rima Khadir during the office's visit to the University in the presence of Dr. Saleh Al-Jufout, Director of the International Projects Office at the University.
In a workshop that was held on the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Abu Al-Hijaa reviewed the most important projects and scholarships offered by the office in Jordan and the opportunities and programs available to university students and professors. He pointed out that the aim of the program is to develop higher education and teaching in universities. He stressed the need to benefit from Erasmus Plus to level-up higher education within the objectives, conditions and special instructions for obtaining scholarships of scientific and research programs.
Dr. Al-Jufout pointed out that this visit aims to build the capacity of the university staff and enable them to prepare project proposals that are eligible for acceptance and support from the European Union. Those projects come as a part of the work plan of the International Projects Office that is aimed at increasing cooperation between international educational institutions in the academic field as well as scientific research.
At the end of the meeting, an extended discussion took place between faculty members and students of the university, during which Dr. Abu Al-Hijaa answered the questions and inquiries of the audience
