Tafila - Hala Shahadeh - 3/7/2018
A group of students at Tafila Technical University launched a "One Body" initiative after a group of university students were exposed to a traffic accident. The aim of the initiative is to increase the bonds of love, harmony and cooperation between members of the university family, students, academic and administrative bodies on the one hand, and between the university and the local community of Tafila Governorate, represented by its official and popular institutions, on the other hand.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Khair Al-Hourani, sponsored the launch of the initiative, which is the nucleus for further initiatives and extracurricular activities that promote students' positive behavior and provide them with intellectual and social behaviors far away from extremist and radical behaviors in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Jarrah.
Dr. Al-Hourani praised the efforts exerted by student bodies at the university and the official institutions in Tafila, which embodied the image of the unified body in standing beside the wounded students in the traffic accident on the Amman-Hasa road.
The Dean of Student's Affairs Dr. Al-Baraa Al-Rawashdeh pointed to the importance of the initiative in promoting a culture of cooperation and cohesion among students and increasing their sense of responsibility towards themselves and their society. He added that the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university has provided all the necessary resources to ensure the success of the initiative and to prepare a ground for its dissemination as an idea that promotes a distinct student awareness, where there is no place for discrimination and violence.
