The Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, established in 2005 following the establishment of Tafila Technical University, is responsible for the follow-up of academic research and graduate studies at the university. It assumes the task of developing the quality of academic research in line with international standards and keeping abreast of escalating scientific progress.
The Deanship has helped researchers at the university receive and uncover a wide range of support opportunities from the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the American Fulbright Commission, the European ERASMUS project, the France Canada Research Fund (FCRF), Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, the Doctor for Each Factory program, and the Scientific Research Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This support has provided opportunities for scientific visits to universities and scientific centers in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Many scientific research articles have been published in prestigious international journals issued by internationally recognized publishing houses, such as Elsevier, Springer, John Wiley, Francis & Taylor, IEEE, and Inderscience, as well as in international specialized journals published in Jordan. A number of these research articles correspond to national priorities in the field of energy, renewable energy, and water.
